Avery Williams
LOS ANGELES, CA
My counseling approach is mindfulness-based, multiculturally informed, and whole-person-centered. As a Queer woman I welcome the opportunity to work with members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and couples. I offer an attentive and grounded presence that is both gentle and empowering. This creates space for a client’s own intuitive guidance to lead the way. I am committed to decolonizing the western imperialist framework of modern psychotherapy.

Brenna Foley
BIG ISLAND, HI
My counseling frame is to constantly redirect clients to their deep inner wisdom and provide tools for accessing that wisdom when it becomes difficult to hear. I work hard for my clients and hope those who choose to work with me are willing to show up for their own growth and push themselves in order to create powerful and lasting change. I have a special interest/specialty in supporting life changes, existential doubt, spiritual emergence, intuition development, and integration of psychedelic or non-ordinary experiences.
what is transpersonal counseling?
Transpersonal comes from trans, meaning “beyond”, and personal, meaning “the self”. As indicated in the photo to the right, transpersonal counseling can encompass all domains of the self and beyond including universal and spiritual dynamics. Transpersonal can also refer to simply expanding beyond the limitations of ego or extending healing to include one’s heritage, social location, or environment.
In addition to the more common mental health challenges a transpersonal counselor would be especially appropriate for working with any of the following:
-
o Breathwork / Meditation
o Psychedelic experiences / Plant medicine (integration)
o Dreams / Visions
o Spiritual relationships (beings, ghosts, angels, guides)
o Intuition/ Psychic communication
o Past life / Ancestral history
o Ethnic and cultural legacy practiceso Collective consciousness,
o Creative flow state (dance, ecstatic movement, artistic expression)
o Connection with the natural world (animals, plants, fungi)
o Kundalini
o Chanting / Singing
